Descriptions:

Dynamic Christian Living

The objective of 7th grade Bible is two fold: to help the student conform to the image of Christ presented in the Gospels and to teach the student to apply Scripture to his daily experiences.  This is accomplished by emphasizing a character quality the student is to cultivate, an action he is to perform, or a truth he is to believe based on Scripture

Route 66

This course is a survey course of the Old and New Testament.  It provides the ‘big picture’ of how everything fits together in God’s plan while giving a quick ‘snapshot’ of each major event, character, or book by using key phrases that summarize the books and their themes.  In studying the Bible all the way through, students will learn basic principles repeated throughout Scripture and apply those principles to their daily Christian walk with God.

Life of Christ

The ninth grade students will examine the life of Christ in the Gospel of John and the nature of God’s Word. There will be a focus on the inerrancy and reliability of the scriptures as well as the discipline of Scripture memorization in the context of knowing our Savior personally. Students will experience Christ’s brilliance, know His compassion, thrill at His courage and power, weep over His death, and rejoice in His resurrection.

The Inner Man

The 10th grade Bible course focuses on developing the inner man and spiritual leadership qualities. Using key passages from Ephesians, the Beatitudes, and Spiritual Leadership by J. Oswald Sanders, the students will be challenged to focus on developing their inward character, which in turn will spill over to their outward behavior.

Theology

This is a systematic theology course that tries to add some meat to students existing understanding of the Bible and Christian doctrine.  Topics include Inerrancy of Scripture, God, Jesus, Holy Spirit, Salvation, the church, Angels and End Times events.

Theology/Apologetics

The 12th Grade Bible Curriculum, Behold Your God, has one purpose and that is to encourage students to know their God. It does this by teaching them that they learn about God by focusing on His Word and His works.  There is also an emphasis on Apologetics as Seniors prepare to move on in the next phase of their lives.
