Descriptions:
JH Drama
The stage has always been used to portray “slices of life”. With this in mind, drama at CCS is taught in a manner that teaches its students skills that have value for a lifetime. Through classroom activities, valuable information, chapter reviews, fun assignments, and special projects, the students address these areas of study:
- External Communication Skills
- Internal Creative Processes
- Connection to Intellectual Physical and Spiritual Life
- Aesthetic Appreciation and Discernment
Each of these areas are clearly connected to Christian values, knowing that God will bless each student as he enjoys rich, healthy relationships on and off the stage.

The philosophy of Music in the secondary grades is to provide opportunities to give God glory through praise and worship We work on developing skills in rhythm, melody, harmony, vocal production, and music theory. Ultimately the students will recognize music as a gift from God given to express our adoration for Him. . Our inspiration comes from Colossians 3:16.

High School Drama
The philosophy of Drama in the secondary grades is to provide opportunities to give God glory and to create self-awareness through performance. Students will develop skills in characterization, team work, artistry, vocal variety, volume, performance, and theatre history. We also emphasize that drama is a gift from God given to express our adoration for Him. We use as our motivation I Cor. 10:31, “So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.”

Praise Team
The Worship Team at Covenant Christian School is a group of dedicated, hard working students that love the Lord and have a passion to praise, worship, and exalt the name of Jesus. This special group is selected from the high school choir by invitation only. The Worship Team leads in secondary chapel each week. Responsibilities often include getting to school early, putting away all the sound equipment, and learning new songs. The team consists of singers as well as a worship band.
